I made my way to the base lodge, where the aroma of freshly cooked fried chicken filled the air. I couldn’t resist and opted for a plate of succulent chicken tenders for $20. Though it was a bit pricey, it was exactly what I needed to power through the afternoon runs.
For a more upscale dining experience, I recommend visiting the Roundhouse, perched at 7,700 feet. This rustic yet charming restaurant offers enchanting views of the surrounding peaks and a menu that features local ingredients.
As evening fell, I made my way to Ketchum for a relaxing dinner. We chose Ramen Cowboy, a local favorite known for its laid-back atmosphere and extraordinary flavors.
A Taste of Ketchum: Ramen Cowboy
Ramen Cowboy was the perfect way to unwind after a long day of skiing. As I stepped inside, I was greeted by the inviting scent of rich broths and fresh ingredients. The cozy ambiance and friendly service enhanced our dining experience.
With its rich, umami-packed broth and an assortment of tender mushrooms, the Mushroom ramen truly stole the show. It was satisfying, warm, and just what I needed to recover from an adventurous day.
Dinner was filled with laughter and stories about our day while enjoying some of the best ramen I’ve ever tasted. It was a wonderful way to bond over good food and great experiences.

While many options can be on the pricier side, we struck gold with an Airbnb just seven minutes from the resort. This delightful home offered all the amenities we needed, with a spacious kitchen for cooking meals and a relaxing living area to unwind after skiing. Being so close to the mountain allowed us to maximize our time on the slopes without wasting time traveling.
For those who prefer more traditional lodgings, options like the historic Sun Valley Lodge and the charming Hotel Ketchum offer great service and comfort. Whichever place you choose, you’ll be embraced by the stunning beauty of the area.
